How to set Preset Rules
I have created a set of preset rules, which can be used instead of inserting each tour’s rules after creating your tour. The only time you would have to manually put rules on a tour is if you are holding a “special” tour.
To insert your preset rules as a default, here’s what you hafta do. Create a tour as normal, then go to “customize tour rules” on the tour admin page. Open this document: Preset Rules and copy and paste the preset 1 into the rules html area. Just below this, click the box that states: “Save these rules as your tourney rule set number (maximum 2):” and in the drop down box select 1.
I have included the rules for JJP for those who host that as well. Using the same instructions as above, but in the drop down box select 2. If you don’t host JJP, you don’t need to set these. However, if you consistently host a special or card game, you can copy those rules in there and select rules set 2.
Now, how to make these appear on your page on future tours. Once you create and set as as your default, the system saves them for you. When you create your next tour and in order to have them appear all you need to is check the box found just under where it asks True Swiss System. The line with a box in front that reads: “Use one of your preset rules pages” click the box and in the drop down box select 1. This will now save rule set 1 every time you create a tour. In order to change to JJP or whatever special you chose to put in rule set 2, simply change the drop down box to 2 and wala rules will appear on your rules page and no need to copy and paste every time!
Card games are not included due to their complex settings, so you will need to copy and paste those each time you host, or pick one for your rule set 2.
