MULTI-GAME TRAINING

First step is to play in and observe a tourney in the game you are interested in hosting to give you a good idea of how it's run. We do not require you to be monitored, however, if you feel you would be more comfortable then feel free to contact that game admin or trainer and request someone to be in attendance.

As with hosting any tournament, make sure you understand how the game works, the correct scoring method to determine the winner and all the special rules that apply. If you would like to host a special tourney, please see the Special Hosting - Tips/Rules listed below and if in doubt, contact a trainer.

Remember your reputation as a TD is on the line so make sure you can handle the game and understand COMPLETELY how to host it BEFORE you attempt a tourney in it. If in doubt request supervision from the Game Admin or trainer.

To better understand each of these, it's just a matter of reading the rules for each game which are the same as your Rules MACS for the games.

RULE MACS MUST BE RUN PRIOR TO EVERY TOURNEY AND NOT BE ALTERED BY THE TDS UNLESS ITS TO REFLECT A CHANGE IN THE TIME OF A ROUND OR POINTS TO GAME END!!

As you all know we are a Multi-Game league. All of our games are run one of five ways. I will explain the different types of scoring, then I will go into detail which games use which kind of scoring and the tools you will need to host them. If you require further assistance please feel free to contact a game admin or trainer/HTD.

        SCORING METHODS:

WINNERS DETERMINED BY SCORES TYPE 1
These types of tournaments are timed rounds and require the players to give their last 5 tokens at the start and the last 5 tokens at the end of each round with the winner being either the player with the most tokens won,or lost if it’s a backwards tour. This variation is only to be played in Roulette, Slots or Vaults.

      • Score sheet 1 is the Vaults Spreadsheet which is available on the TD Set-Up and Training page.

GAMES USING THIS FORMAT: BJ CARNIVAL, CASINO ISLAND BJ, FIRST CLASS SOLITARE, HARVEST MANIA, HOG HEAVEN, KENO POP, LOST TEMPLE POKER, MAHJONG SAFARI, MAKEOVER MADNESS, PANDA PAI GOW, PENGUIN BLOCKS, PHLINX, POPPIT, QUICK QUACK, RIDE THE TIDE, ROULETTE, SLOTS (Ali Baba, Sci-fi & Showbiz), SUDOKU, 1000 ISLAND SOLITAIRE, TURBO 21, VAULTS, WONDERLAND, WORD SEARCH DAILY, WORD WHOMP, WORLD CLASS SOLITAIRE

If Player complains that another player wasn't spinning or their token count hasn't changed yet

Solution: Explain that pogo only updates the players tokens every 3-5 minutes depending on which server they are playing on. However, you will see your own tokens updated real time. Inform them that you'll watch the player closely and direct them to send an email to Contact Admin on the main page.

If a Player accuses another player of cheating in MAIN chat or gets abusive in main chat.

Solution: Attempt to resolve the issue in PC if the player continues in MAIN chat let them know that they can be boxed from playing if they continue and again attempt to take them to pc. Send a “report” thru Contact Admin so that we are aware of the situation & problem player.

ROULETTE TIPS: **Do not use your normal start mac – advise players after tokens gathered to GO GO GO! Make sure to give them at least 20-30 seconds to place bets. If a player is not responding to token request put them on 2 min timer LOL players want to bet! Best way to keep track is announce each spin, but you must notify players of 9th spin and final/10th spin - do not use 1 min - use the 45 sec stop only mac after the final spin is completed.

WINNERS DETERMINED BY SCORES TYPE 2
These types of tournaments are timed rounds and require the players to give their last 5 digits (and possibly additional tokens noted in rules) of their tokens at the start. The only exception is the ending token reporting. The players are required to report the last 5 digits of their new token count and any additional amount the TD requests (ie. 12345/123) with the winner being determined by the most tokens won in each round. These tours are harder to host as the require more math.

      • Score sheet 2 is the Tripeaks Spreadsheet. TriPeaks Scoresheet Click to download.

GAMES USING THIS FORMAT: ACES UP, MAHJONG GARDENS, PERFECT PAIR, TRI-PEAKS,

        WINNERS DETERMINED BY BOARD STATS
These types of tournaments are NOT timed rounds. Each round consists of ONE complete game and requires tokens/score won at the end of the completed game. (ie; 2345) Obtained from the game ranking screen before or after jp spin.

GAMES USING THIS FORMAT: BINGO (after spin), BINGO LUAU (after spin but TD cannot see – player reports in chat) DICE CITY ROLLERS (after spin),LOTTSO (after spin), POGO BOWL (before spin), POPPA ZOPPA (before spin)

WINNERS DETEREMINED BY WINNING OR PLAYING THE DESIGNATED AMOUNTS OF HANDS
These types of tournaments are not necessarily timed rounds. Each round consists of a set amount of hands played. TEXAS HOLD EM: The first player to reach the jp spin (wins 3 hands) wins round. Maximum playing time of 20 minutes per round.
TRI-PEAKS 3-HAND: Players play 3 hands and report in chat outcome, ie. 2-1. Winner is the player with better record. Can also do 4-6 hand variations too! Maximum playing tim
GAME USING THIS FORMAT: TEXAS HOLDEM, TRI-PEAKS 3-HAND

WINNERS DETERMINED BY REACHING DESIGNATED GAME END/ GAME SCORE
These types of tournaments are timed only to ensure the players don't take to long. The first player to reach the games end OR to achieve the required game score set by the TD wins. Maximum playing time of 20 minutes per round. You must check the table settings prior to issuing start to make sure they match the rules listed in the macs. If they are not set correctly, the table must be reset.

GAMES USING THIS FORMAT: BLOOP, CANASTA, JUNGLE GIN, PINOCHLE, QWERTY, SHUFFLEBUMP, SPADES

You must check tables settings whenever they are required for the game. To do this just click on the “i” usually found on the top right of each table. Macs/rules are set to go down the list of options of each game and are found in both your keytext and on the rules link off the main page.

TD Tidbits: Following the start of the round the TD will give an interesting fact or tidbit about a TD. Can be real, funny, life experience etc. At the end the players put in their results along with their guess ie. winner/loser (token count) Issues . This was a huge success and we've received many requests for it. First one to guess right wins the bonus buxs. ** You must send an email to the TDs in order to get tidbits for the tourney!

        ANYTIME VARIATION TOURNEYS:

**Open to all hosts. You must include the rules on the tourney page for the special you are hosting as well as announcing it in the room with the correct rules. These have been hosted in slots effectively. If you would like to host these in another game, please contact the game admin first to determine if it is feasible.

Players Choice: Winner of the finishing tourney gets to pick the next game played. Vaults/Slots Variation: Winner of the round gets to decide if the next round is a backwards or forwards (winner wins the round or loser wins the round)

Open Spaces: Host collects scores as usual. Player furthest away from their original score wins. (Forward or Backwards does not matter) ie. Player 1 begins 53000 ends 52500 = - 500. Player 2 begins 53000 ends 53200 = +200. Player one wins because their total tokens won/lost is furthest from their beginning score. ***This tourney can only be done in Vaults or slots game.

Twister: First round (Forward) the winner wins the round. Second round (Backwards) the loser wins the round etc. The TD MUST announce prior to each round if it’s Backwards or Forwards. ***This tourney can only be done in Vaults or slots game.

Bonus bux to first player with right guess. Additional bonus bux for true/false if the player can tell what the true fact is, ie. Friday the 13th had 4 different actors play Jason. marylou/joeblow .... false it had 3

Twisted Tokies: The player who accumulates the most tokens in the entire tourney wins additional bux of 200 bux. An alternative is awarding 100 bux to the player who wins the most, out of all players in the tourney, each round

Trivia Tourneys: Pick a topic. Let the winners in each round guess what the answer to your questions are for bonus buxs.

Birthday Bash: Players submit their birthday tourney requests via the league page. Players request 1st and 2nd TD and Game Choices.
