You may want to create a folder on your computer for your TD materials. There is quite a bit and will be easier to locate if stored in one location.

        STEP 1: REVIEW RULES/GUIDELINES

In order to be able to conduct tournaments correctly, it's very important to review the TD guide provided by Cases along with our Twisted Raiders guidelines. These will help you avoid problems and incidents that could result in losing TD status. The guidelines will be updated from time to time. We will notify you when you will need to come back and re-read them.

        STEP 2: DOWNLOADS

KeyText This is the macro program. This is the program that does your “typing” in the chat box. Once you have installed this program, make note of where you have "stored" it, instructions are below for setting up and getting your macros once you have installed the program.

YAHOO! Messenger This is a free messaging program. If you do not have it yet, you will need to get it. This is the way we communicate & train with TDs in the league. If you cannot download this program, there is a web based module you can use without having to download anything, all you need is a Yahoo! ID. Click HERE to open the web Yahoo! and save it to your favorites.

Egg Timer Excellent multi-tab timer we use to time the rounds. If the link does not work, we can send it direct thru Yahoo.

Token Calculator Spreadsheet In order to open this in a separate tab/window, please right click the link and choose open in new window or tab. This is a web based spreadsheet that can be saved to your favorites. This spreadsheet is capable of calculating single score games as well as those where there are additional tokens to be calculated (ie. Tripeaks). It is not mandatory, you can use a calculator if you like. Helpful hint: Unless you are an exceptionally quick typist, you should write your pairings and scores on paper and transfer after you start the round. At the end, write scores down and transfer after releasing players to chat. It is not mandatory.

Screen Shot Program This is a program that will take continuous shots of your screen. It's a great tool to use when you want to have proof of situations or chats that occur in a room or pc. It is not mandatory.

STEP 3: SETTING UP MACROS & SCREENSHOT PROGRAM

Keytext Macro set-up instructions Once you have downloaded the Macro's to your keytext program, it is recommended you go to an empty room and practice using them to see how they work and look. The trainers will also advise you on how to use this program. Do NOT change any rules/macs. You are permitted to edit the start, stop and I'm having a tourney macs. Do NOT change the "timing" portion of them. If you are unsure how to do this, it is best left alone.**** There will be times when updates are available. An email will be sent to you asking you to download the new macs!!****

Screen Shot set-up instructions Once you've downloaded your Screen Shot Progam, follow these instructions to properly set it up This program will not interrupt macs, nor your chatting ability. It is a good idea to practice this program in an empty room while running macs so you can see how it works.

Go to the training site at Myleague.com/tdtraining. Once there, you'll see how you can set up a fake / practice tourney. TRAINING CONTACTS:
        Training Coordinator:
        Aztekpm
        YAHOO: aztekpaula
        Email: raiders_admin@hotmail.com
If you have not been contacted by a trainer within 2 days of being accepted as TD, please contact Aztekpm.

You cannot set a Live tour until your trainer has gone thru tours with you on the practice site. For new TD's without experience, you will first host Single Elimination tours to familiarize yourself with Cases, posting winners, etc. Once you are released to host S/E tours, you will have a Trainer/HTD present, in the event you need assistance. If the trainer is not available, they will assign someone to be with you. Once the Trainer feels you are capable, you will be set free to host on your own. Typically 3-5 tours depending on your confidence.

Until you are ready for Swiss training, we ask that you only host your tourneys in normal token games and leaderboard games. Try to avoid games with additional tokens to be reported and card games with table settings, unless you have previous hosting experience.

        SWISS TRAINING!!

So you're ready to move up! Visit Cases training site Myleague.com/tdtraining to set up and run practice swiss tourneys.

Make sure to run a few tourneys and create one with at least 10 players to experience how to manage the pairings and switch out duplicate pairings. Information on duplicate pairings is available at the bottom of the Tourney Setup Instructions under Swiss Training. Your trainer will work with you on this and you will require a trainer/HTD to be present during your first few tours until the Trainer feels you are ready to be set free to host on your own.

We recommend that you not host any special twists until you are comfortable hosting in the room and with Cases functions.

        OTHER TRAINING INFORMATION

Multi-Game Training This page provides some information on how to work tourneys and the different scoring methods used. It has instructions on how to set pre-set tour rules on your Cases tour page. It also lists the specials we host, who can host them and where they can be hosted.

HTD Game Administrators List Here's a list of Game Administrators, current room shares, JJP Schedule and TD Yahoo list.
